A few weeks ago, we started a container garden on our back deck. We got several long planter boxes and a few large round pots, bought some organic compost, added a bunch of small plants, and voila! Rick has done 99% of the daily watering. It’s amazing to see how quickly these guys grow! Yesterday, I picked some of the spinach and swiss chard for a meal. It was oh-so-yummy.
Meanwhile…. we’re building raised beds for additional garden space. Rick is doing much of the work on that. He’s been quite industrious, for a guy who used to spend most of his days working in the recliner (or golfing). I’ll be posting some of the raised bed photos shortly.
