I have wanted to go to China for the past few decades.  I never made it until this year when my daughter and I decided to go together to visit family, friends, and be tourists for a few days. Click the links in the itinerary below to read about our trip and see a few photos. Thanks for visiting!

May 18, 2012 (Getting There) – Head to Boston for flights to Toronto and Hong Kong

May 19 (Time with Friends) – Arrive in Hong Kong & take ferry to Macau where we explored a bit

May 21 (Crossing the Border) – Take a taxi to Macau border, cross into Zhuhai and spend a few sweet days in Zhuhai with friends

May 24 (Tianjin) – Take a two hour bus ride from Zhuhai to Guangzhou airport and then a flight to Tianjin

May 25 (Beijing and a trek) – Ride the bullet train from Tianjin to Beijing where we went to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, saw the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace

May 29 (Family in Taiyuan) – Taxi to airport, flight to Taiyuan

May 31 (Leaving Dalian) – Fly from Taiyuan to Beijing and then to Dalian
